What an exciting new year for learning! I would like to introduce myself and let you know a little about the person who will be spending lots of valuable time with your child! My name is Janet Lovell and I was born and raised in Hobbs, New Mexico. I attended college at Southwest Texas State University. I have been teaching for 14 years with experience in many grade levels as well as Reading Specialist.

My husband is a fifth grade teacher at Whitestone Elementary. We have four boys - Matthew, Bradly, William, and Justin. Matthew is a fifth grader, Bradly is a third grader, William is a first grader, and Justin is in the ELE Friends program all here at Cypress. I have a little Shih Tzu puppy, Sadie. We love to go tubing, to the beach, swimming, hanging out, and watching football - GO COLTS!

I am very eager to begin an exciting journey of learning with your child. I love being a teacher and feel blessed each year to be part of children's lives. Each child is a blessing and I look forward to teaching, challenging, and nurturing your second grader.
