It was a big day for us at cphs-tv. We welcomed visiting dignitaries, Superintendent Tom Glenn and Assistant Superintendent Monta Akin to the school. We also aired Rachel Thurner's story package about Extreme Makeover - Home Edition's visit to Austin. She and her crew were there around the clock to get the story.

Principal LaFevers addresses the student body about the upcoming Shattered Dreams program during this last broadcast before Spring Break. Our Broadcast Journalism classes involvement in filming Shattered Dreams and producing the two movies for the assemblies this year, made it impossible for us to produce a broadcast on either Thursday or Friday.

CPHS Spanish Club attended the PASF State Convention on March 9, 10, and 11th. Beatriz Villalon received a first place medal in the reading contest. In the art division, their poster received Honorable Mention.

We had a rough morning and ran a little late as we tried a new shooting arrangement and show template that allows for three cameras and filming in one section.

We also ran a short transition for the CPHS Forensic Team that promoted a fundraiser in conjunction with Firehouse Subs.

Teaming up again for the first time since our first week of broadcasting back in November, Clint and Becky anchor The Wolfcast.

After waiting for several weeks for NBC to air the Today Show segment filmed at CPHS, we finally decided to run our story package about their visit to our school.

This was an emotional day at cphs-tv as we completed our last broadcast of the year - in style.

We featured the top 5 plays of the year. We also featured John & Jeff's Prom Promotion Part II. And we had a new introduction that featured a second Chris Gassaway song - so that we opened and closed the show with his music.


Brad, anchoring at the news desk for the first time, along with Clint, thanked everyone at CPHS for a watching and supporting us during what we felt was a fantastic first year.

Our whole class joined in at the end of the show to say together: “Remember to make it a great day – or not; the choice is yours!”
No Broadcasts scheduled until next fall
Due, in part, to AP Exams over the next two weeks and Final Exams starting after that.

We will take this time to continue planning changes for next year. We may broadcast over the TV’s only, occasionally over the next few weeks. If we do, we will notify teachers by email.
