3:30-3:40 Share experiences from the beginning of the school year to now
3:40-4:10 Group discussions
A. What is a Teaching System?
B. What is a Learning System? (specifically, what is it that we want students to be doing?)
C. What actions do we as teachers and administrators need to take so that students will be able to do these things (mentioned in B)?
D. These actions translate into action plans for the class as a whole and for individual students. What are the specific pieces of an action plan that need to be included?
E. Scenario: After analyzing their BOY data,
Ms. Sis Tims and her class selected the following objectives to target for the fall semester in math. Select one of the objectives and design a Class Action Plan.
a. Math--#312—Name equivalent fractions.
b. Math--#415—Recall multiplication facts through 10’s.
c. Math--#605—Name the time (to the minute).
d. Math--#708—Describe/compare shapes by geometric attributes.
