Spanish Club officers introduced themselves to new members,voted on T-shirt design for the club, discussed trunk or treat (our theme is pirates so wear a pirate costume! Donate bag of candy by Oct.24), gave out membership forms please have signed and returned by next meeting Oct.7, Lastly we talked about the dance for the spring show and competition. The vote was for Salsa! :)

We introduced officers, played 2 games disscussed t-shirt ideas, and the general calander and events for this year. (Snacks provided) Goal: collect dues and forms, vote on t-shirt design, and bring boxes to make an altar for Dia de los Muertos.

Guest speaker, Ana Sierra, spoke about breast cancer awareness. Goal: decorate an altar for Dia de los Muertos on Friday 26, bring decorations and candy for trunk-or-treat, and vote on t-shirt designs.

We announced the t-shirt design winner, and collected registration forms and dues. We gave presentations about the Spanish-speaking countries that they've been to.

First we talked about what we're doing in December: our next meeting on the 6th where we'll decorate and learn songs for the upcoming Posada, the German club lock-in, and the Christmas party and Posada. We had two guest speakers. Marisa Limon, from Hispanic Scholarship Consortium, talked about the costs of college and scholarships. Monica Yebra talked about her college experience so far as a freshman and gave advice about paying for college.
