Clothes Closet
Two volunteers needed on Thursday, May 15th, from 10am-12pm to help sort clothing at the LISD Clothes Closet.
Book Room Volunteer
One or two volunteers needed on Friday mornings from 8:30-10:00 to help collect graduated reading materials from classrooms and log the books back in to the Book Room.
Brown Bag Projects - Weekly
For those of you with little ones at home, we can still use your help. Please stop be the workroom at your convenience and pick up a brown bag. Each will have various project requests from our teachers that require cutting, glueing, etc., all of which can be done in the comfort of your home. Please don't forget to check out your bag by logging it in the Brown Bag Book.
Shelving Books - Weekly, Bi-Weekly, or Monthly
Several volunteers needed to shelve books any day that works for the volunteer throughout the school year. If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Porter.
CROSSING GUARDS STILL NEEDED!
We still need "2 1/2" crossing guards for the school. Morning and afternoon shifts available for $10/hour.
Volunteer Teacher for the Spanish Language Program - Year Long
Volunteer teachers teach the Spanish classes once a week for thirty (30) minutes. The program materials, teacher’s manual, CD’s and teaching video are provided by the elementary. The district coordinator provides training.

The following skills are needed for the various positions:

 Volunteer teachers – An elementary level of Spanish and a proficient accent is required. Volunteers must be able to commit for the school year.

 Coordinator – Knowledge of Spanish is NOT necessary. Enthusiasm, good organizational skills and the ability to work well with a variety of people are needed.

 Asst. Coordinator(s) – Knowledge of Spanish is NOT necessary. Help coordinator with material inventory and organization as well as putting together curriculum materials for the program.

 Substitute volunteer teachers – An elementary level of Spanish and a proficient accent is required. This is for anyone who would like to volunteer to teach, but is unable to commit to teaching every week for the entire school year.
