5th Grade River Place Titans Rock!
Welcome!

Hello! I am so excited to be working at River Place Elementary again this school year. We had such a wonderful experience last year.

Mrs. Watson (Gilleland) will be teaching math again this year, and what a time she had last year with having the highest percentage of commended students in the entire district. I will also continue to teach science this year. In science we had the second highest percentage of students in the district to receive commended. We were sad to see Mr. Schuppert leave, but we hope he has a wonderful new family at West Side Elementary. In reading River Place had 100% of its students pass and had the second highest percentage in the district receive commended. Mrs. Watson and I are looking forward to Ms. Calabrese (RPE 1st grade 2007/2008 school year) and Mrs. Johnston (new to LISD from RRISD and AISD) join the fifth grade team as our Language Arts/Reading/Social Studies teachers.

We are looking forward to continuing our high standards of education and making many of last years activities a tradition at River Place. We will continue to look for new adventures and experiences to bring to the students, as well.
About Mrs. Krug (Docherty)

I am originally from Illinois. I attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Go Illini! My husband attended the University of Texas, so I try to cheer on both teams.

All of my teaching experience is in the state of Texas. Most of my experience in teaching is in the fifth grade. I have taught fifth grade math, science, and social studies in a block setting, and I have taught fifth grade self-contained. I taught fourth grade math, science, and social studies for one year.
