My name is Andrea Wichman and I am looking forward to working with you as you integrate technology into your curriculum this year.

I have been a teacher for over 25 years. I taught language arts, journalism, newspaper and yearbook to students in grades 7 though 12. I found that when I incorporated technology into my lessons, most of my students were more motivated and engaged in their learning.

Using a website to communicate with my students and their parents was extremely beneficial. It took me a little time at the beginning of the year to set things up, but it saved me a lot of time and effort later on.

Our district provides us with a great resource to communicate with our students and their parents. I hope that you will find it as valuable as I did.

You can make your webpage as simple or as complicated as you want. You can upload documents so your students can download them at home. You can include a calendar and create surveys. Students and parents can email you from your webpage and you can use it to post assignments, display student work, link to other websites and create webquests for your students.
