Hello! My name is Ashley Atkinson and I am an IPC and Biology Teacher here at Vista Ridge. I am also the assistant volleyball and assistant track coach. I graduated from the University of Arkansas with my Master's in Teaching and undergrad with a major in Kinesiology and a minor in Biology. After college, I worked for Giddings High School for 2 years where I was the head volleyball coach and IPC teacher.
Here at Vista Ridge, we have excellent science facilities and supplies to make my Biology and IPC classes fun and exciting. We do several labs a week and try to allow for the students to learn through investigations. My goal is to have my students walk away from class learning about and appreciating the world around them and enjoying the process while they were there. I am so excited about working here at Vista Ridge and about the upcoming year.
