The following consequences result when someone breaks the social contract in ONE PE CLASS PERIOD. It is founded on the "three strikes you're out" philosophy.
STRIKE ONE
Teacher will give the Titan knuckle to student (bump knuckles) and say, "Remember the Titans." Student will walk over to the "Remember the Titan" corner, look at the rules, and write it down on a small slip of paper. They will then bring the slip of paper to the teacher and if they agree, may rejoin the class. If no agreement is made, student will return to the RT corner and find a better rule.
STRIKE TWO
Teacher will give the Titan knuckle and say, "Remember the Titans." This time the student will fill out a Titan Reflection Sheet. The reflection sheet allows them to think about what they did wrong, what rule they broke, and what they should have done instead. This sheet is then signed by the student, dated, and returned to the PE teacher. If they agree, the student may return to the class; however, if not, the student returns to the RT corner and finds a better rule.
STRIKE THREE
The teacher will give a Titan knuckle saying, "Remember the Titans." Student will go to the RT corner and complete another Titan Reflection Sheet. Following a brief discussion with the teacher, the student will WALK around the RED LINE of the gym for the remainder of the PE class period - unable to return to their class game or activity.
*The Titan Reflection Sheets will go on file in the PE office. If a student collects "7" of these sheets, it will be reflected on their next report card.
