Welcome to Fourth Grade-Home of the Cheetah Champions! I am so excited about the school year. I have a wonderful group of students and parents as well. The school year started off very well and we are quickly moving through our new curriculum in both reading and math. This year I teach Reading, Writing and Social Studies. This is my sixth year at Cypress teaching fourth graders.

When I'm not at school, I love spending time with my family. My oldest, Curtis, is a senior at Cedar Park High School. My youngest, Lauren, is now a Freshman at Cedar Park. My husband and I spend much of our "free" time with our kids attending sporting events. We also have two dogs that complete our family. Their names are Lucky and Charm. They pretty much run our household!

Through my years of teaching, I have found that the most important aspect of learning is being able to connect with the students. I draw on their experiences and interests to capture them in learning. If I am unable to capture their hearts, I will have a tough time capturing their minds.

I look forward to a wonderful year. I thank everyone for their support so far this year. Your interest in your child's education is unmeasurable during these important developmental years. I appreciate all you do.
