About Me...
I currently teach about 100 of the most spoiled kids in the school. They are....my babies! I teach gifted and talented students in Leander Independent School District in a very parent friendly elementary school. I love my students, my job, and working for my school district.
During my years of teaching in this school district, I have been encouraged to be a continuous learner. I have also been able to encourage my students to use technology to make the most of their education. They have been very successful creating PowerPoints, iMovies, Slideshows, Web Pages, word processing documents, and charts and graphs.
I have taught for twenty-nine years in the following school districts: Weslaco ISD (Weslaco, Texas), Caddo Parish (Shreveport, Louisiana), Dallas ISD (Dallas, Texas), Lake Travis (Austin, Texas), and Leander ISD (Leander, Texas). Eighteen of these twenty-nine years have been in gifted programs. This is where my heart is!
At home, I am the mother of three of the most loving children. My husband and I devote our time to our kids. Also, I am Skylar and Tanner's "Grandma". Currently they are nine and ten years old. These two children are what keep me young. I am a family oriented person and put my efforts into making them happy. Life is good to me! |
