2008-2009 Senior Projects |
Welcome to the home page for the 2008-2009 Senior Projects. Senior projects will be presented on Wednesday, December 10th at 4:00 p.m. and on Thursday, December 11th at 4:00 p.m. A reception for students, judges, faculty, staff and parents will follow in the Cedar Park High School Library.

What is Senior Project exactly? |
Senior Project is a multi-part major project for LISD seniors in the Fall that includes: 1) a research paper; 2) a product; and 3) a presentation before a panel of judges.
AP Senior English students are asked to write a research paper based on a study of two major literary works. The product portion is optional. |

Who does Senior Project? |
All LISD seniors do Senior Project in English IV class. |

When are the Senior Project Presentations? |
Senior Project Presentations are scheduled on:
Cedar Park High School
December 10 & 11 (Regular Academic Senior English students) & January 29 (AP Senior English students)
Leander High School
December 9 (Regular Academic Senior English students) & January 22 (AP Senior English students)
Vista Ridge High School
December 3 (Regular Academic Senior English students) & December 16 (AP Senior English students) |

Information on required training for judges |
Training for Senior Projects will begin at 3:00 p.m. on the day you are scheduled to judge. The training will take place in the CPHS Lecture Hall. A light snack will be available after training. The presentations will be completed by 6:00 p.m. and a reception will follow in the Library from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Our Key Club students offer babysitting at no charge during the training and the presentations. When you register to judge there is a place to let us know if you will need childcare. |
