I am Cynthia Allen, and I will be your child's writing and science/social studies teacher this year. In addition to a Batchelor's Degree from Texas Tech University, I have twenty years of experience with eighteen of those years in fourth grade.

Even though fourth grade is sometimes perceived as the toughest year in elementary school, I have discovered over the years that the the most challenging part is getting your child organized and KEEPING him/her organized. We have many systems in place to help your child be responsible for the incredible amount of curriculum that is expected of them this year. Please know that I will do my part to keep them energized and enthused every step of the way.

On a personal note, I am the mother of two young men. My oldest is in the ministry at SMU, and my youngest is in the Navy and on his way to the Persian Gulf this fall. My favorite things to do on weekends are either to play with my three adorable grandchildren and/or to watch college football.
