The Other Side of the Door
On the other side of the door
I can be a different me,
As smart and as brave and as funny or strong
As a person could want to be.
There’s nothing too hard for me to do,
There’s no place I can explore
Because everything could happen
On the other side of the door
On the other side of the door
I don’t have to go alone.
If you come, too, we can sail tall ships
And fly where the wind has flown.
And wherever we go, it is almost sure
We’ll find what we’re looking for
Because everything could happen
On the other side of the door.

Welcome to YOUR community Classroom |
My name is Dale York and this is my first year at Cypress. I will be teaching Math and Social Studies to Ms. Greene’s Language Arts and Science. I am very excited about this year and look forward to a rewarding and enjoyable learning experience for us all.
I have been married for 22 years and have two daughters, ages 17 and 14. I enjoy weight lifting, traveling, reading, learning and anything Disney.
This year, in third grade, we will be sharpening our mathematical skills with lots of hands-on activities. Also, we will learn and explore the concept of “community” in Social Studies.
It is my personal goal to ensure quality communication between school and home as I firmly believe it does “take a village” to educate a child. I look forward to a year of meaningful partnership as we work together with the same goal.
