I am so excited to have you in my class this year. I know we will have a wonderful year of learning together.

Book Fair is the 17th-21st. This is a perfect time to look for Christmas gifts or stock up on your home library. Plus, proceeds from the sales go directly to our school library!
Book Fair kicks off with Movie Night starting at 5:30 on the 14th. Then the Book Fair will be open 7:30-3:30 the 17th-21st.
You can come before or after school to shop with your child or send in money with their wish list on our library day, Wednesday.

Thursday, November 20th is our classroom feast. Please bring in the item circled on the feast note sent home to you last week. The feast will be snack time for the day.

We have an entire week off for Thanksgiving! No school the week of November 24th. If you do happen to leave early for the holidays, please let us know.

If you need to make a change to your child's mode of transportation, please use the following link to fill out an online transportation change form. This is the preferred method of making changes. Changes need to be made prior to 2 pm.

This came from the PE teacher about what type of shoes are okay for PE.

1) Shoes must have a rubber sole on them.
2) Shoes must provide semi-support of the ankle and cover the heel.
3) Shoes must cover the top of the foot and the toe.
4) Shoes must have laces or "thick" velcro attachments across the top. (I have seen shoes with the thin little velcro strips resembling sandals with a rubber sole...I don't like these for PE).

Know this for a fact, I am not into fashion in PE, but purely "for the safety of students" as they stop and start and change directions. I have seen kids break not only ankles, but legs because of inadequate footwear for moderate - vigorous activity.
