Hello. My name is Heather Walthers and I will be your child's Third Grade teacher this year. I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of my students, watching them grow academically, and helping them accomplish goals with great pride! I am very excited to be starting my third year here at Whitestone Elementary.

Prior to working here, I worked in the Round Rock School District for five years and in San Antonio for 1 year. I received my teaching degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio. I joined Leander ISD for several reasons. I have heard so many wonderful things about this district, and being that I live within it, I decided to make a district change. Making the change to work here has been one of the best career moves I have made. I have seen so many great things in this district, and feel like I am part of a family here.

I am married and have two kids. They are Alyssa, (6 years old) and Nate (4 years old). Alyssa will be entering First Grade this year here with me and we are both very excited about another year at Whitestone!
