When using one wire, one battery, and one bulb you can make the light bulb light up. Remember that there are two points on a light bulb that must have connections to a battery and wire to work.

In a parallel circuit, if you remove one light bulb the rest will work.

In a series circuit, if you remove one light bulb ALL of the lights will go OUT.

A circuit tester is used to see if a material is a conductor or an insulator.

A conductor is any material that allows electricity to flow through it.

An insulator is any material that does NOT allow electricity to flow through it.

Electricians use symbols to represent certain parts of a circuit.

You can create an electromagnet by using one iron nail, one long wire, and a battery.

Using an electromagnet, you can test to see if a material is magnetic.
