My name is Jenny Marquardt. I am looking forward to a wonderful year of learning with your child! I would like to share a few things about myself. I have been teaching second grade since 2002. I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. I earned my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction while teaching second grade at Cypress Elementary School. This will be my fourth year at Whitestone Elementary. I am very excited about being here. Whitestone has been so wonderful because everyone is so supportive and friendly. We are all here for the same reasons: to provide the best academic and social education possible!

My goal is to make learning fun and to create a loving environment for your child to grow and succeed. As a teacher I feel it is important for the students to realize our classroom is a safe, secure place where we can take chances in learning together. We will begin the school year with teambuilding activities to build trust and friendships. I am very excited about the new school year.
