Introducing Your Whitestone QUEST Teacher, Karen Clark
Welcome everyone to the Whitestone Elementary QUEST program. I am excited to be here and want to thank you all for sharing your students with me each day. I have taught in Great Falls, Virginia, Avon Lake, Ohio, and Palestine, Texas. I am very happy to be part of the Leander ISD school system. Besides teaching gifted and talented, I have also taught third, fourth, and fifth grade.
I have been blessed with two awesome children. My son who is a doctor lives in Houston with his wife. My daughter and her husband live in Lakeway and are the proud parents of my first grandchild. I enjoy gardening, exercising, and most of all, spending time with my precious granddaughter.
In QUEST, your student will learn how to use the Creative Thinking skills of Fluency, Flexibility, Originality, and Elaboration in their projects. They will also learn how to use the Critical Thinking skills from Bloom's Taxonomy in their daily life. Stop in to say hello or come observe your children working in the QUEST classroom. If you need to talk to me, please make an appointment by calling the school's office at 434-5300. My classroom phone extension 33738. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you.
Send me an email, I'd love to hear from you.
