The "If I were a ..." unit combines the use of multiple meaning word with zoom perspective drawings and the results are amazing 3rd grade original books! We will be drawing upon all our creative awareness and creative process tools in order to make these unique story books.

Here's an example:

If I were a bolt...
I'd be a bolt of lightning streaking across the sky.

If I were a bolt...
I would be a rabbit bolting across the meadow, frightened by the storm.

If I were a bolt...
I be nuts and bolts on a workbench in the tool shed, protected from the storm raging outside.
