INTRODUCTION TO BIOTECHNOLOGY is a college level class that is offered as an elective. The curriculum is identical to that taught at ACC (Austin Community College) and students can receive credit in escrow or dual credit after successfully completing the course. We cover a wide range of topics in the exciting field of biotechnology including DNA fingerprinting and protein chromatography.
ADVANCED ANATIOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY is a class designed for those interested in a career in the medical field. It is a detailed study of the anatomy of the human body and how it works. Dissection is required in this course and includes a cat as well as other individual organs.
MEDICAL MICROBIOLOGY is a one semester class that deals with the role and impact of microbial agents within the health care profession. It is a laboratory based course that will investigate the identification of microbes as well as the techniques used in microbiology.
PATHOPHYSIOLOGY is a one semester class dealing with the effect of disease on the human body.
