I hope you will find the Naumann art web site to be a useful tool for you and your family. What I have tried to do is provide you with additional information on art to further our understanding of art outside the art room.

Please keep in mind that this is a work in progress. I am continuing to expand and explore more information and tools. As I find these tools I will add them for your use.

Please click on the appropriate category to the left (Student Tools, Parent Tools and Teacher Tools). You will find pages duplicated between the catagories since they are useful for both. Feel free to contact me if you find a site appropriate to add. Also, as hard as I have tried to investigate these web sites, let me know if you find anything inappropriate so that I can take it off this site.

Art Teacher-Mark D. Brown

I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Art Degree in Graphic Design/Advertising Design. After graduation, I was a substitute teacher for a short time while looking for a job. This was when I first realized my passion for teaching our children. I went on to work for the next fourteen years for several large agencies. When we started having a family, I decided to slow things down professionally and pursue my dream of teaching by entering into the Southwest Texas State TRIP Program (Teacher Recruitment and Induction Program). In the program, I completed one-half of my Masters in Education and a teaching field block course work. This one-year program approved me for certification from SWT and after passing the State of Texas ExCET test, I am certified in elementary education and art through middle school.
