Welcome to second grade at Block House Creek Elementary! I am looking forward to a fabulous year with your child as we grow and learn together.

2007 marks my nineth year to teach elementary school, and my fifth year at Block House Creek Elementary. My family moved here September 2003 from my hometown of Brownwood, Texas. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, and taught four years at East Elementary School. Bruce and I have been married 15 wonderful years, and we have two amazing sons. Cade is 6 and in first grade here at BHC. Cole is 3 and attends Cedar Park Montessori School.

The communication between home and school this year will be very important to your child's success in second grade. Please call or write a message when you have questions or need to send information.

It is my earnest desire to challenge each student at his or her instructional level this year to reach peak performance, and thereby learn as much as possible! We will spend time throughout the year enriching key concepts as well as broadening our educational horizons.

I consider it a privilege to be responsible for your child's training at school this second grade year. I value your input, and desire to work with you as a team to provide the best learning opportunities for your child. I look forward to a wonderful year!
