Hello,

My name is Michele Groomes. I am married and I have two daughters. My youngest attends the University of North Texas, in Denton, TX and my oldest a graduate of Williams College is pursuing her graduate degree from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.

This is my 26th year teaching. I am originally from Massachusetts where I taught for 11 years, moved to TX and taught at Austin High School for 3 years and this is my 12th year at Leander High School. I am the Business Dept. and Career and Technology (CTE) Dept. Head. I presently teach Accounting I, Accounting II and Business Computer Information Systems I (BCIS 1).

I truly like teaching business classes because the skills are needed in the "real world"; life after high school. My goal as a teacher, is to teach my students life-long skills that they can use to survive in this ever changing world. I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
