Welcome to 4th grade.
I have been teaching since 1989. I will be teaching math, science and social studies to my homeroom. My teammate, Valerie Baca will be teaching Language Arts (which includes grammar, spelling, writing and reading. She will also teach her homeroom social studies. This team teaching works great for both of us as well as our students. This way we both get to teach and focus on the subjects we like the best. When it is necessary Mrs. Baca and I both will be having conferences throughout the year with you.

I have an Associate of Arts degree from Vernon Regional College, Vernon, Texas. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from West Texas State A&M University (even though I am a diehard Longhorn) in Canyon, Texas.

I appreciate any and all communication between home and school. My conference period will be each morning from 8:30-9:10. I depend on your comments and expertise regarding your child. I am very dedicated to making this a productive and successful year for all of us. Your child's social and educational welfare is top priority with me. I feel strongly that we need to have a three-way team: you the parent, your child and myself. Hopefully we all will be striving towards a common goal. I will be communicating with you often about my classroom plans, your child's progress, school events and other things as they arise. Please feel free to contact me anythime.
