Here you can download the powerpoint I used Tuesday night, Feb. 12, in the PAC with basic information about the ACC Early College Start program.
ACC - Early College Start - Summer 2008 classes
Attention Juniors (class of 2009) & Sophomores (class of 2010): You are eligible to earn FREE college credits through ACC.
There is a long process to become eligible to register for classes.

If you are a returning ACC Early College Start student, you will need an ECS Tuition Voucher and a meeting with the ACC advisor. Pick up the ECS Tuition Voucher from Ms. Pewthers before March 17 if you want to take summer classes!

Dual Enrollment
The attached list describes the classes that can count for high school AND for college credit.
The first two columns are the ACC numbers and names; the last two columns are the high school course equivalents and the number of high school credits you can earn with each college course.
Co-enrollment
The Texas legislature and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) have approved the attached list of 42 core credit hours to transfer to any Texas public university.
These classes can be taken to get ahead in college credits. Some are also on the Dual Enrollment list to count for high school credit; some are not.
ACC New Student Orientation
All new students to ACC must complete a new student orientation. The appropriate new student orientation for Early College Start students is called ACC 101. It can be found at: www.austincc.edu/acc101
Download instructions here to show proof of completion of ACC 101. Ms. Pewthers must see this proof as one of the steps in the enrollment process.
How to do telephone registration at ACC
Telephone registration is said to be the most efficient. The attached form gives instructions. There are also instructions on the ACC website at www.austincc.edu
How to read the online course schedule
ACC provides a way for you to see online what classes are offered on what days at what times and at what campus. You can even tell how many seats are left in a particular class! This website also shows "synonym" numbers for each class. These numbers are specific to the date, time, and location of each class and are critical for the registration process. Download the attached document for more detailed info on how to access and to read this website.
Classes offered in LISD
Leander High School is an ACC center. Many classes are offered there every semester. Additionally, classes will be offered this summer at CPHS during the day.
The attached list is incomplete; see the ACC online course schedule for full details.
