Career Passports: Stepping stones to your future
What is a Career Passport?
The LISD Career Passport system was developed as a tool to help you choose high school classes that reach your particular career goals. The list of required and recommended courses for a Career Passport are those that give you the best preparation for a particular career field. These will help whether you are going on to some form of post-secondary education to continue a course of study or going straight into the workplace.

Freshmen choose their Career Passport during their A.C.E. (Academic and Career Exploration) cornerstone class first semester of their freshman year. These Career Passports can change as the student moves through their high school career.

Without a Career Passport, seniors cannot attain Gold Texas Scholars status and the gold medal that goes with it for graduation.

The classes supporting each Career Passport are arranged into pathways according to the Department of Labor system of Career Clusters.

All passports are listed in the course catalog as well as on the CPHS website at cphs.leanderisd.org/guidance/passports/index.html
