The goals of the QUEST program at Leander ISD are to enable each student to:
1. make choices based on self-knowledge of needs and interests and to assume responsibility for pursuing these interests;
2. apply higher level thinking skills of analysis, synthesis, and evaluation in the pursuit of knowledge;
3. apply creativity skills of originality, fluency, flexibility, and elaboration necessary to become independent thinkers and producers of new ideas;
4. apply skills of logic and critical thinking necessary to engage in independent judgments and effective communication;
5. apply research skills and task commitment necessary for successful independent study;
6. internalize through self assessment the affective skills necessary for cooperative living in society while maintaining an integrated sense of self;
7. apply the creative problem solving process to real life situations; and,
8. apply higher level thinking and problem solving skills necessary for success in specific subject matter areas.
