What's the difference between exiting and furloughing from the QUEST program? |
Furloughing is a leave of absence versus a permanent exit from the QUEST program. It is usually for a period of one year. With a furlough, students may reenter the program based on the reentry conditions as set by the QUEST Identification and Placement Committee.

How do you request a furlough? |
Parents may request a furlough for their child by writing a letter to the campus QUEST teacher explaining the reasons for the furlough. The QUEST teacher may schedule a conference to discuss other options. Once a furlough is finalized, the QUEST Identification and Placement Committee will send a letter stating the conditions for reentry into the QUEST program. | | |

How does a student re-enter the QUEST program? |
Once the period of time designated for the furlough has elasped, a request for reentry may be sent to the campus QUEST teacher. Once the conditions for reentry, as set by the QUEST Identification and Placement Committee, are met the student may reenter the program. | | |

What situation would be appropriate for a furlough? |
There are many reasons for furloughing, including personal, social, academic and family issues. Every individual request is taken into consideration by the QUEST Identification and Placement Committee when setting the conditions for reentry. | | |
