Hello! I am Ralene Gideon and I teach Algebra II and Pre-AP/Pre-IB Algebra II. I have been teaching at Leander High School for three years with a total of 21 years in education. I am from the central Texas area, but I have had the privilege of teaching in many schools in Texas ranging from class 1A Munday to class 5A Midland.

In our classroom this year, we will be learning second year algebra skills in order to prepare for Precalculus, College Algebra, the SAT Test, and the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS). I want my students to enjoy mathematics and to appreciate its uses and applications in the world around them.

I am the QUEST (Quality Utilization and Enrichment of Student Talents) Campus facilitator. This year I will also be monitoring the IB CAS Program on campus. You can read more about these programs at www.leanderisd.org.
