Welcome to our program! We are happy that your child has chosen to be a member of the band. It is the intention of the Running Brushy Middle School band program to encourage student success through music education.

Your child's participation in our band program is beneficial in many ways. We believe that being in the band teaches discipline, responsibility, individual achievement, team spirit, social skills, confidence, leadership, and an appreciation for the arts that will continue not only throughout high school, but also into adult life. The students will develop musical and personal skills, which will enrich their lives. Thank you for the support of your child's endeavor in music.

The purpose of this handbook is to serve as a guide and a source of information for students and parents. If you will please take the time to read through this together, everyone will benefit through greater understanding of the band program.
