As long as the printer is not powered off, it usually won't freak. But if its in the middle of a print job & is powered off - it will get confused. When the print job restarts, it gets very cranky and starts printing a few lines of hieroglyphics and spitting out multiple pages like this!
And sometimes this happens no matter what, so to fix:
1) Turn off printer (to stop hieroglyphic printing)
2) Go to Start Menu/Settings/Printer & faxes/Your Printer (whatever it is)
3) This opens a window of print jobs, select each one & either delete or cancel. The top job will probably say its deleting/canceling but not disappear. All others should disappear.
4) Log out & shutdown computer (power off)
5) Wait a few minutes, then power up; turn on printer when DELL appears during startup.
This may have to be repeated again, but usually not. If done twice & still occurs, do everything above but also completely UNPLUG the printer power for a few minutes.
If problem persists beyond even this, contact CPHS Tech Support.
