Welcome to the website of Sandra Brashier. This year will be my 8th of teaching Spanish at Leander High School. My assignment this year is Spanish levels 2, 3, 4 and 5. I am looking forward to a great year. I just attended the Rice AP workshop so I am very excited about all the new ideas. It is always a joy and a challenge to welcome back former students and watch them grow. This is the beginning of my 26th year of teaching, three of them were in Kansas. Why? I graduated from Kansas State University with a major in French and a minor in Spanish and ended up in Houston where I did post graduate studies in Spanish. After teaching French and Spanish in Fort Bend for 11 years, I moved to the Austin area. Traveling and studying are a passion. One is never too old to learn. I have traveled and studied in Spain and Mexico and traveled in Guatemala. The Spanish culture is so fascinating. I will be traveling to Oaxaca, Mexico to experience "The Day of the Dead" . What a great opportunity for me and my students. I am looking forward to a great year with our new texts.
