Dear Parents,
Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Sharon Duhon. I am excited about greeting a new group of students and parents. At anytime, if you have any questions or concerns about your child, please contact me.
I am married and we have four sons. I enjoy reading, baking, gardening, sewing, refinishing furniture, working with arts and crafts type activities, etc. In the summer, I enjoy swimming, skiing, boating, & jet skiing. Of course, I have little time to do all these neat things for I am always busy with my family and/or going to Inservices over the summer to increase my knowledge.
I have over 24 years of teaching experience and received my Elementary Education Degree from the University of Houston. After teaching several years in LaPorte I.S.D., I went back and received my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. I am certified to teach grades PK - 8 and Early Childhood Education-Handicapped grades PK - 6.
Leander ISD has an excellent volunteer program which helps the teachers immensely. You will need to fill out an application form and attend a training session. We depend on volunteers for many projects, any time you can give will be greatly appreciated. If you are interested in being my head room representative and/or volunteering for our classroom just let me know.
Sincerely,
Sharon Duhon
