To see your applications, click the Applications folder icon in the Sidebar on the left side of the Finder window.

Each user of a single computer has a “home” folder. Your home folder contains your personal files. You'll see your home folder icon on the left side of the Finder window, labeled with your Mac OS X user name. When you open your home folder, you'll see folders named Documents, Movies, Music, Pictures, and so on, to hold your personal files.

B. The Library folder contains fonts, plug-ins, and other system software for your personal use.
C. The window shows the contents of the selected folder.

You can place fonts for your personal use in the Library folder in your home folder. Fonts shared by all users are located in the Library folder of your Mac OS X disk. Install new fonts following the instructions that came with your fonts or drag them into the Fonts folder in your Library folder.
