Guday
Incognito
Students wear a piece of masking tape on their forehead with a role written on it. During a discussion, students are treated the way the masking tape says to treat them.
Later Letters
Students write a letter to themselves describing their experience during cooperative games. They give the letter to the teacher who mails them in 3 months.
Lava Rocks
Students work together to go from “ship” to “island” and back, all the while avoiding the “lava”.
Nondo’s Car Lot
Students go from one side of the playing area to the other without being tagged.
Stone
Students talk to each other as if at a party and try to find out who is “it”.
Stress/Relaxation Circle
Discuss how the possibility of being scared makes relaxing difficult.
This Is a Banana
A ball representing one object is passed around the circle one way while another ball representing a different object is going around the circle in the opposite direction.
Touch My Can
All students in the group must touch one can without touching each other.
Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction
Each student writes 2 things about themselves that are true and 1 thing that is not. Then the 3 things are read to the whole group and the students try to determine which thing is not true.
Water Cup Pass
Each student in the circle has a cup. All are empty except one. The student with the full cup uses only his elbows to pour the water in the next person’s cup. Continue around the circle.
Yes-No-Black-Blue
Students answer questions without using these 4 words.
