Animal Forms
Each group decides what animal to become and moves the animal from point A to point B.
Apathy Party
While someone reads from a book, students practice being apathetic, trying not to smile or laugh.
Blowing Off Steam
Groups try to move a cup into a paper bag without touching the cup.
Broken Squares
Students take puzzle pieces and make 5 squares, all without talking.
Buffalo Murder Puzzle
With 15 clues, the group tries to find out who killed Bobby Buffalobreath, what the weapon was, and where the murder took place.
Car Tag
Students are either “cars” or “drivers” and the “car/driver” pair who is “it” is trying to tag the other cars.
Card Sequence
A deck of cards is mixed up and the participants put the cards back in order by suit as fast as possible.
Clap and Count
Participants are assigned a number, call out his or her number in numerical order to a beat, trying to stay on the beat.
Clap Around the Circle
One at a time, students in a circle clap (in order), and continue until they determine they have done it in the shortest amount of time.
Comet Ball Horse Shoes
Teams throw comets (a hose with a tennis ball at the end) through a hula hoop.
Commonalities
Groups of 3 find three things they have in common, the same for groups of 6, and then the same for the entire group.
Control Tower
One partner verbally helps a blindfolded partner get through an obstacle course.
Cooperation Tarp
Egg Drop
Students are to design a delivery system that will protect a raw egg dropped from a height of 12’.
Find Yourself
Students introduce themselves taking on others’ names, until they are introduced by someone with their own name.
Grid Maze
A 5x5 maze is laid out in secret, and students try to make their way through it.
Happy Landings
Making their own paper airplanes, teams compete to see who can fly their plane the farthest.
How High Can You Go
Students see how high they can jump individually to place a piece of tape on the wall and then how high they can get the tape by doing this as a group.
Jumping Jack Flash
With four jump ropes (in the shape of a square) going at the same time, students inside the square must jump through one of the ropes to get outside.
Last Detail
One team tries to pick out the changes that the other team made.
Mirage
The group tries to duplicate a picture without seeing it, using a variety of methods.
Name by Name
Saying their first names only once, students line up in alphabetical order.
Number Call
In a circle, students call out their own number and someone else’s number all to a beat. If a mistake is made or the beat is interrupted, the person making the error starts the game over.
Paperchute
Students drop paper from a height of 10’, getting as close to the target as possible.
Quick Change
One team member tries to pick out the changes that the other team member made.
Quick Line
Students shake hands with others, locating other members of their group by the number of times they shake.
Resume Writing
Discussion of what makes a good resume`.
Scary Story
Students share a “happy” scar story.
Secret Admirer
Students try to guess who is admiring them.
Set/Show
Students quickly add the number of fingers shown on their and their partner’s hands.
Show Me Your Groove
The entire group has to come up with one movement to get them across the room.
Simon Says
Students cheer each other as mistakes are made playing “Simon Says”.
Social Skills Satellite
In two circles, students rotate, asking each other questions.
Transformer Tag
Students choose different body positions to play tag and one body type tries to tag the other body type.
We’re In the Army Now
The group marches with a leader calling out commands.
Who Are You?
The group writes questions to ask each other.
