AR and AM Frequently Asked Questions


How can I move a student from one LISD campus to another?

1. Login to AR and make sure you are in the "School" mode.
2. Click on "View Students"
3. Enter a student name and search.
4. Select your student.
5. You will see all of the student's information.
6. Click on "Edit School Enrollment".
7. Unenroll student from current school.
8. Enroll student by choosing the correct campus.

How can I set the Reading Goals for my students in Accelerated Reader?

1. Login to renaissance Place. (http://renplace.leanderisd.org) The user type should be “Teacher”.
2. Scroll down to “Accelerated Reader” tab.
3. Select “Class Record Books”.
4. Depending how many classes or blocks you have, you may have to select the class you want to set goals for.
a. Select the class and click on the “Set” button.
5. Select “Reading Practice Goals”.
6. If you see the following message in red, you will need to set the school marking periods. If this has been done, jump to step 12 to continue
7. Click on “Select Marking Periods”
8. Click on “Select” for the 2004-2005 Marking Period.
9. Click on “Save”.
10. Your marking period will now show for “Marking Periods Selected for this Class. (See below)
11. Click “Save” again.
12. You will now see a list of your students.
13. Click on “Goals” from the left hand side menu.

14. Select “Edit Student Goals” from the top of the student list.
15. Enter the goals you would like for each student.
16. Don’t forget to click on the “Save” button!!
