Remember that next Friday is class photo day. Please return the order forms if you want a class photo.

Please send in the cardboard cylinder from a paper towel roll. Each student will need one so if you have an extra one please send it too.

The first two weeks of December we will be doing our middle of the year profile testing. Wow we are already almost at the mid point of first grade.

There are a couple different options you have to put your newsletter online. One is to type your text into the different content areas (like the example on this page). Here are some teachers in the district who use the newsletter page in that way: Cox Kinder and Parkside First. The other option you have for sharing a class newsletter is to create it in word, save as a pdf file, then upload it to your website. Here are some examples of teacher that use this type of page: Rutledge First and Cox Third

January 1: New Years!
February 14: Valentines Day
March 14: My Birthday (always on Spring Break)
June: Summertime!

Directions for saving a Word Document as pdf (before uploading to the website):

1. Save your Word document as you normally do.
2. Click file > print
3. In the print window you will see a button that says PDF at the bottom left corner. Click that button and pulldown to "Save as PDF"
4. Create a name and choose the save location for your newly created PDF file
5. Upload that file to your website. Make sure you have created your page as a download page.
