Welcome To Second Grade!

I am so excited to be your child's 2nd grade teacher! We are going to have a great year.
2nd grade is an important year in your child's education. This year we will expand and develop foundational skills. I know we will work together to make this a fabulous year.

This is my second year to be teaching 2nd grade at Rutledge Elementary. I grew up in the Austin area and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995. I have been married for 13 years to a wonderful man, Jason, and we have two precious daughters, Kaitlyn and Courtney, that both attend Rutledge Elementary.

8:00 - 8:45 Language Arts (Whole Group)

8:45 - 9:30 Math (Whole Group)

9:30 - 10:20 RTI/Flex Time (L.A. Small Group)

10:20 - 10:50 Spelling/Phonics

10:50 - 11:20 LUNCH

11:20 - 11:50 RECESS

11:50 - 12:00 Restroom break

12:00 - 12:50 Specials*

12:50 - 1:45 Math (Small Group)

1:45 - 2:30 Science/Social Studies

2:30 - 2:35 Pack up & Prepare for Departure

*Specials moves to 1:30 – 2:30 on Alternate Days
