The Rangers played a tough Odessa team this Friday. The team took the doubles 4-3 with the help of Brent and Trey who battled back from an (0-5) start in the first set to eventually win in straight sets. The team was down 4-5 in the singles play when the rains came.

8/28/08 (VRHS v.s. Stony Point)
6-13
The team played their first 5A in-district match of the season on Thursday against the Tigers. The Tigers were strong in doubles winning 5 0f the 7 matches. In singles the Rangers had wins by Ariana, Emily, Julie, and Spencer.

8/29/08 (VRHS v.s. Anderson)
1-4 (DNF due to rain)
The Rangers were in a close match with a very good Trojan team when the rains came, again!

9/4/08 (VRHS @ Taylor)
16-3
The Rangers traveled to Taylor to take on the Ducks for the 5th straight year. The Rangers went into singles play with a 6-1 lead from their doubles matches. All 6 wins were in straight sets. After winning 10 of the 12 singles matches, the Ranger claimed their first ever victory from the Ducks. Ryan and Blair played very well this week to help the team get their first win.
